Wayne and Susan want a comfortable space where they can now enjoy their retirement, not spent working away on unfinished projects. Enter the Weekend Reno Team. Michelle's design plan attempts to enhance the rustic feel of the cabin while bringing in light to a very dark space. As they work through the massive to-do list Anthony uncovers a daunting project behind wood paneling, while Merrill pieces together a spectacular focal point.

Dan and Jeff Holland are a father son duo who love spending family time at their cottage; however after losing beloved wife and mother, Cathy two years ago, cottage projects have stalled. The Weekend Reno Team has been invited in to give much needed design direction while paying tribute to the place Cathy loved so much. From stonework around the wood stove to a repurposed flea market find, Michelle, Anthony and Merrill go the extra mile to add personal touches that make this transformation all the more special.

Anna's been asked to judge a pie baking contest for the town's local food festival, and this episode of Fresh is all about pie inspired recipes! Anna stops by the Williams Apple Orchard to pick ingredients for her Country Apple Pie. Next she creates a Potato Bisque with bacon and cheddar and her specialty, Anna's Tourtiere. Anna delivers her meal to her fellow judges before the pie tasting begins!

Marcus is truly an international chef: he was born in Ethiopia, raised by adoptive parents in Sweden, and his restaurant Riingo in New York City is Japanese/American fusion. The other, Aquavit, is world renowned and harkens back to his Swedish roots, offering unique interpretations of Scandinavian cuisine. Marcus has received more accolades before the age of 40 than most chefs do in a lifetime. He's also a painter, writer and humanitarian, supporting inner-city high school students in their efforts to succeed in the food industry. And as a spokesman for UNICEF, he leads the fight against tuberculosis which killed his mother in his birth country of Ethiopia.

Since surviving breast cancer several years ago (with the help of her oncologist husband) Biba has been advocating good nutrition as a means to fight the effects of chemotherapy and to promote health in general.

The design plan focuses on transforming the tired living room and dysfunctional kitchen. With an extensive project list from flooring to re-facing the cabinets Michelle, Anthony and Merrill work overtime to finish the surprise before the weekend is up.

Kim and Rebecca Hunter are funeral directors who just recently bought their own funeral home. All the money, time and effort put into their business means little is left over for their cottage. They need a Weekend Reno to turn their ˜80s throwback “ jokingly called "Pinepalooza? “ into a relaxing retreat they can use to escape their stressful jobs and spend quality time together with their son, Jake. The main order of business is tearing out the dingy beige carpet, minimizing the effects of all that pine and creating a functional kitchen. A last minute project becomes a creative finishing touch.
